Sample Itinerary Puerto Vallarta

Day 1

North American Travel DMC (partner of EPIC DMC) welcomes you to the Pacific coast, an area which enjoys approximately 300 sunny days, a balmy climate and has lush tropical rain forests. The geographical beauty is breathtaking. Jungle covered mountains dramatically meet the ocean, white sandy coves are bordered by palm trees and emerald green water, jungle waterfalls and beaches only accessible by boat are just a few of the reasons to visit Puerto Vallarta.

Our representative will meet and greet you at the airport. Leave it in North American Travel ´s hand for a smooth arrival.  Settle into your exquisite beach front resort before heading to your welcome reception overlooking the Sierra Madre Mountains.

Day 2

Get to know your host city during a privately guided city tour.  People in Puerto Vallarta never seem to be in a rush, stroll like the locals do through the cobblestone streets along picturesque colonial and whitewashed buildings. Visit the different art galleries and shops located along the boardwalk.  Artists from around the world gravitate to Puerto Vallarta’s beauty, which they mirror in their work – fashion, jewelry, sculpture, ceramics, painting and writing. The Huichol Indians, who live deep in the mountains around Puerto Vallarta as they have for centuries, enliven the local art scene with their culturally meaningful yarn and bead art.
Take full advantage of the Puerto Vallarta´s restaurant scene, widely regarded as one of the best in Mexico.

Day 3

Going off road and leaving it all behind.  The off the beaten path “Sierra Madre Expedition” is the ideal way to explore the real Mexico and breathtaking scenery of this area. Mercedes Benz unimog jeeps will take you on a voyage of discovery over chassis-challenging terrain, through mountain streams and past remote forgotten settlements on a mission to reach the heart of the Sierra Madre. The remainder of the day, after this 8 hour expedition, is spent at leisure. Relax, renew and recharge either at the beach, or step into a coastal haven of rest and tranquility at the spa.

Day 4

For all you thrill and non-stop fun seekers this is the day. With some of Mexico’s highest and longest zip-lines, at almost 1,000 ft (305 meters) long and 250 ft (76 meters) high, it’s no wonder that many people have referred to this excursion as one of the greatest adventures in their life. Kick off in true 007 style with an exhilarating speed boat ride whisking you to Boca de Tomatlan, a secluded beach at the edge of the jungle on the southern shores of Banderas Bay. Once on dry land, our 4×4 jeep will take you on an exhilarating off-road expedition 2,000 ft (610 meters) above sea level to the base camp deep into mountains. Accompanied by an expert guide and now fully equipped with a harness and all, your mule is ready to take you on a thrilling trek even further up the mountains, deeper and deeper into the sub-tropical forest. Prepare yourself for a breathtaking rush of adrenaline as you fly through a thrilling series of zip-lines, rappel down waterfalls, traverse jungle bridges and finally splash through streams and natural river pools.

Final night dinner, a gala night spectacular on the beach full of entertainment and fine cuisine. A Tequilero will explain the production of tequila followed by a tasting.  Learn the techniques of agave harvesting, about distillation and the different types of tequila.  Small culinary arts classes are being offered.  Food stations have been set up with the most incredible local delicacies.
