The EPIC DMC Los Cabos office has been operating now for more than 10 years. Apart from being specialized in groups, EPIC Los Cabos is regarded as the most prestigious provider of individual in-destination travel experiences in Baja California Sur, striving at every turn to redefine the notion of what a unique and unforgettable vacation should be all about. At the Beginning 2011, EPIC DMC and Mexico´s largest Tour Operator, Best Day Travel, merged. Combining EPIC´s long time know-how in successfully handling the groups and conventions segment, and Best Day Travel´s 30 years of experience in operation, land logistics and specialized tourism services, made EPIC the most established and largest DMC in México and Latin America. A native of Mexico City, Manuel is the founder of EPIC DMC. “Founders from the beginning on wear multiple hats, and it is often hard to discern what should be tackled first when opening a company. When I founded EPIC I was grateful for my hospitality background and my foresight to identify the niche of what clients actually really need and want.” All this happened 28 years ago in Cancun and since then Manuel has not stopped wearing multiple hats. Every day since seems like a new beginning, Manuel and team never stop searching for new ways to cater to what clients need and want.
Manuel moved to Cancun 29 years ago when Cancun was still a small village and uncharted territory for foreigners. He foresaw the huge potential the region would offer for tourism and out of this sprung the idea to open a Destination Management Company
If Juan Carlos is not out and about snapping pictures of his home state of 23 years, Baja California Sur, one can find him in the office as the Director of EPIC Los Cabos. Native Chilango (“lovingly” describing people who are born in Mexico City), he graduated in hospitality and tourism. Kicking off his career, Juan Carlos ventured throughout Mexico working for numerous 5 star properties After 8 years in in the industry, he is promoted to become the Director of Sales & Marketing Following the desire to broaden his work experience, he moves to Costa Rica.
After years in the land of rich rainforests and majestic volcanoes, he returns back to Mexico. Juan Carlos is offered the post of Director of Sales & Marketing at a luxury hotel in Los Cabos. Keeping in line with his profession, over 10 years ago, keeping in line with his profession he took the leap of faith and opened the office of EPIC Los Cabos
Juan Carlos is an active member of the worldwide renowned humanitarian organization “Rotary International” and the Vice President of Baja California Sur´s Tourism Board.
German, but most of her life she lived abroad. Born and raised in Asia, Susanne ventured out to explore the world after she finished her studies in Germany. Having worked 18 + years in the luxury hospitality industry in North America, Asia and Europe, she “found” her way to Mexico in China. Whilst working in Beijing, she attended a fellow expact friend´s wedding outside of Mexico City. And from that moment on she knew that one day she was going to end up living in Mexico. It has been 13 years now since Susanne started her first job with Orient Express in La Riviera Maya. Apart from also leading the sales & marketing area at 2 DMCs in Cancun, Susanne can also include hotel chains like The Peninsula Group, Belmond (formerly known as Orient Express) and AMResorts in her portfolio. Now at EPIC DMC, she shares her enthusiasms for this amazingly varied country, promotes Mexico’s rich and authentic culture and helps groups of all sorts to find the right itinerary in this broad spectrum of diverse tourism offerings. As mother of a very active daughter, they typically spend their free time exploring the Yucatan Peninsula.
From an early age on, Diana knew that she would follow into her father´s footsteps of working in tourism. She was fascinated by his stories after a trip and of meeting people from all over the world. Born in Mexico City, Diana started her career in Acapulco before moving to Cancun 36 years ago. With Diana’s 43 years in the industry and a well versed background of having worked as a Ground Operator, in Travel Agencies and Hotels, she finally decided to join EPIC DMC 19 years ago; combining all of her experience into one.
Now after 16 years as EPIC’s National Sales Manager, she is the “oldest” member of the team. A few years ago, she was awarded the “Best Organized Convention” by “Convention Mexico Magazine”. This has been the only time this award was given to a DMC.
Even after all these years, Diana says: “I truly love working for EPIC. “I am fortunate to get paid to do something that fascinates me!!”
Carol recently joins the EPIC family with over a decade of experience in travel and hospitality industry. Carol started her career working for a tour operator in Canada and from there she became a hotel destination rep. She was only supposed to stay for 6 months but now 15 years later she calls Cancun her home.
“Taking that leap of faith and moving to a foreign country was the best thing I ever did! I am happy to be a Mex-Canadian!“
Originally from Mexico City, Diana began her foray into the hospitality industry with over 27 years’ experience in hotels. Prior to joining EPIC DMC in June of 2015, Diana worked at international hotel chains in different parts of Mexico, Costa Rica and Honduras. She held posts like the Director of Sales and Marketing, Group Sales Manager and Cluster Sales Manager for various properties at Real Hotels & Resorts.
With Diana coming on board, EPIC DMC opened their office in Mexico City.
